Tasting notes by Dan Lystad
1982
Straw colour, with a mature rim.
The bottle was unfortunately not in 100% condition but showed a mature red and green apple tones with layers minerals. Bubbles where small and very persistent. Extremely long finish with minerals, red mature apples and honey 82 vintage is one of the really classical vintages from this vineyard and they age very well.

Straw colour.
Small persistent bubbles. Caramelized apples and mineral tones, some hints of toast.
On the palate the wine was not as concentrated as you would expect, but the wintage was not the most concentrated either. A light elegant Clos de Mesnil that had a god mineral tone with mature caramelized apple in the finish.

Straw with a youthful rim. What a wine!!! This is probably on of the greatest champagne in any category ever made. Elegant tones of green apple, toast and lots of minerals. The structure of a wine worthy of a king.
This is a Champagne that will have a long life a head. The palate was explosive of minerals, apple, toast yet it was still elegant and vibrant. It reminded me of an elegant woman. Unfortunately there is not many bottles on the marked.

Floral tones and lime zest. A beautiful champagne that for me was ready to drink but also will age for quit a bit.
The palat was powerful and ripe, with small persistent bubbles. A complex champagne with a long fresh finish.

Clos De Mesnil vineyard has again done it! What a magnificent champagne! Straw colour as in al the Clos de Mesnil. Young vibrant wine with a massive consecration of green fresh apples and minerals. This wine has enormous potential and will age tremendously well. The acidity of the wine is high, fresh and fantastic.
I am looking forward to taste this wine again in 10-15 years. This was a perfect young baby champagne.
